Pen/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers

Description:
The PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers recognizes 12 emerging writers each year for their debut short story published in a literary magazine, journal, or cultural website, and aims to support the launch of their careers as fiction writers. The 12 winning stories are selected by a committee of three judges who are well-respected experts in the art of the short story.

It is awarded annually to a sculptor who has demonstrated outstanding ability as a sculptor and who has created a body of work inspired by nature which includes works of sculpture in the round and in bas-relief.

The Bleifeld Grant is for a mature body of work; sculpture created in workshop or instructional settings should not be submitted.

While we hope our Crisis Relief Grants will be one time awards, we understand that hardship can occur unexpectedly and at different times during a writer’s career. With that in mind, dramatists may be eligible to receive multiple Crisis Relief Grants. First time applicants will be prioritized and multi-time recipients may experience longer processing times. 

DGF serves all dramatists based in the United States, regardless of their immigration status. 

If you hold more than $15,000 in your combined bank accounts, we kindly ask that you refrain from re-applying at this time.

Description:
Breck Create’s Artist-in-Residence program offers regional and national artists of all disciplines an opportunity to focus on progress rather than product while engaging with the local community in a meaningful way.

Artist-in-Residence spend 2-4 months in a live/work studio in the Breckenridge Arts District, an intimate campus of historic structures nestled under majestic snow-capped peaks in cozy downtown Breckenridge. During the school year, artists serve as guest instructors in Summit County schools, providing support and supplemental curriculum to teachers.

Artistic Production Grant: Spring Cycle

Artistic Production grants fund the production and exhibition of new artistic commissions, in amounts ranging between $25,000 – $100,000. Often exhibited beyond museum walls in public space, these projects feature high levels of thought leadership, artistic production, and public engagement. VIA Art Fund accepts Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) on a semiannual basis for our Fall and Spring award cycles

Description:
Each year, two Right to Write Awards are given to outstanding applicants who have already been accepted into the Monthly Mentorship program. The award supports BIPOC and Veteran writers by waiving their tuition. Applicants must apply and be accepted to Monthly Mentorship before or in tandem with applying to the Right to Write Award.
