Paul Dresher Ensemble
Artist Residency
Who’s this for?
Northern California Artists
Award
– Full-time access to the Ensemble’s rehearsal studio
– A production stipend (currently up to $1500)
– Access to state-of-the-art sound, lighting, projection, and recording equipment
– Technical, financial, and managerial consultations from professionals on the Ensemble’s staff
– Fiscal sponsorship (if needed)
– Performance opportunities

Description:
The Dresher Ensemble Artist Residency (D.E.A.R.) was established in 2012 to support Northern California artists actively exploring new aesthetic premises and pushing the boundaries of conventional art forms and media. The program provides artists free studio space and up-to-date equipment to create new work in time-based arts such as theater/performance, dance/movement, music/sound art/instrument invention, and collaborative and interdisciplinary work.
ACES: The Society for Editing
ACES Scholarships

Description:
Six scholarships are awarded annually through the ACES Education Fund to undergraduates and graduate students interested in a career in editing. In addition to individual cash awards, these scholarships also include financial aid to attend one of the two annual ACES conferences, in-person or virtual. Five of these are the ACES Scholarships, including the Aubespin Scholar. The sixth award is the Bill Walsh Scholarship, specifically for news editing.

LSU SciArts New Play Festival

Description:
The School of Theatre is proud to announce the return of the SciArts New Play Festival, taking place April 13-15, 2025. We are inviting playwrights to submit an original work that explores the intersections of science and art. Playwrights selected will be brought Baton Rouge for a public reading, offering an opportunity to refine their work in collaboration with theatre professionals. Additionally, playwrights selected will receive $500, a free year long subscription to www.playsubmissionhelper.com, and recognition of their contribution to the festival.

Description:
The Artist Studio Program was launched in 2000 in response to the crisis of available affordable space for artists living and working in New York City. The program provides six eligible artists working in all visual arts media a free private studio space accessible 24/7 and a fellowship (dependent on funding). The 2025-2026 program begins September 5, 2025 and ends August 5, 2026. The studios are located on the lower level of our building at 92 Plymouth Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn and range in size from 250 to 300 square feet. The program does not provide living space.

Description:
Calling writers, directors, and producers who are script ready. Receive a $1,000 prize to use how you choose! Submit your short film screenplay and tell us about your connection to Florida for a chance to be the winner. In an effort to help more storytellers, we select a winner per 100 submissions. Description:
Yale’s Committee for Art Recognizing Enslavement (CARE) is seeking artists with experience in public art, socially engaged art, or participatory art to create artistic interventions, permanent and ephemeral, and related programming in New Haven to address Yale’s historical roles and associations with slavery and the slave trade as well as the legacy of that history.

Fiction Contest

– 1st place winner will receive $1000 cash and their winning story printed in the Winter/Sping issue of Philadelphia Stories
– 2nd place winners (3) will receive $250 cash

Description:
This is a national short fiction contest that features a first place $1,000 cash award and three $250 runner-up cash awards. The winner stories will be published in the print issue of the Winter/Spring 2025 issue of Philadelphia Stories. We especially encourage writers from underrepresented groups and backgrounds to send their work.
